Speaking of Chestnuts

Earlier this month by roommate and I made a pact that we would not bring out the Christmas music until after Thanksgiving Break. It seemed like the right thing to do. Hold out for its greatness. But then today happened. It was chilly and we were both enjoying pleasant enough moods. But we were both fighting that little itch for the smooth sounds of the Season. Like with most other things in life, we eventually succumbed to temptation. Julie made our holiday Pandora station while I plugged in our colored twinkle lights! For a good thirty minutes now I have been enjoying this warm, fuzzy feeling that I know only comes once a year! We do not regret caving in. In fact, I think it might just be the best decision we've made all semester!

I can not wait for the momentum called the Christmas Season to keep building. I'm already enjoying the faux evergreens in the Wilkinson Center and Library. Oh, and rumor has it they've already begun stringing lights around Brigham Square. So far, BYU has not failed any of my expectations and I sure hope they won't start with Christmas.

Sweaters, Scarves, Twinkle Lights, Hot Cocoa, Candy Canes, Chocolate, Advent Calenders, Nativities, Evergreens, Friends, Shopping, Snow, Temple Square, Food, and of course, Family are just a few other things I'm looking forward to this December.

  1. As you probably know, Sarah, Christmas is my favorite holiday, too. I have so many wonderful memories-your a part of all that, too.
I love your blog, I hear your voice when I read your words, and hear your laugh, and see your wonderful smile. I love your final quote, too. Thanks for letting me see into your life and all the things that are you. Love you, Sarah Sue.
